A half cup of oats will yield about eight ounces of food.
Organic oats can be purchased all year round.

Oats are a great way to get protein into your little one's diet. They make a delicious meal and any time during the day, not just breakfast. Depending on the type of oats you buy like steal cut or instant, the cooking times and liquid amount will be different. Just read the directions for the particular type of oats you purchased. Remember you can always substitute water for a different liquid, like milk. And you can always add different fruits and veggies into the oatmeal for even more nutrition and flavor.

Replace regular cooking liquid with coconut milk and add one apple to make  this yummy meal!
