Butter Bean Puree

 Butter Bean Puree

Two cups of beans will make about eight ounces of puree.
Butter beans, also known as Lima Beans, are freshest during the late summer and early fall.

Wash your butter beans and steam them for about ten minutes. Place in a food processor and puree until you have achieved the consistency that you want. To thin out this puree you can add a couple ounces of water for little ones just starting out on solid food.

Add an apple or two to this puree to make a sweet fruit and veggie meal!
